I use a seca cam from aston v1.05 and use a cifs mount.
- Now when i record something from a decoded channel, the cam re-inits and then the recording goes wrong.
- Sometimes the cam does not work at all and i have to reset in from the menu.
- When i view a recording the cam does a init and the picture goes black but sound is still playing.
- and it hangs now and then when in stand-by modes have to use the three buttons to reset.

Mir ist bisher noch nichts aufgefallen.

Es läuft bisher sogar sehr gut. Endlich funktioniert Letterbox. Und das Bild wird nicht mehr so extrem beschnitten, nur noch ein wenig. Also eine Funktion um die Bildgröße zu verändern wäre echt das Beste!

also beim empfang von türksat , sind manche kanäle unter 5000, manche sind sogar 2000 symbolrate , bei einem kanal der zb 4800 Symbolraten hat macht sich der bug bemerkbar mit freezer , aussetzer , und unter 3000 empfängt es garnicht .

natürlich habt ihr das problem nicht weil das im astra nicht der fall ist , da ist die nidrigste SR vileicht 22500 SR.

Why is it that I can not see prosieben and sat.1 and some other channels too.
The picture is all blocks and sound is breaking up.
It's almost like when you record something it's almost the same.
Sometimes it's ok.

Do you have a wireless DECT Phone?
If so plug off the Base-Station and you'll see your problems will be gone.
I know this is no permanent solution

Thats interesting I have a dect phone but it's not way near the dreambox.
the only thing is the network cable maybe it's picking it up by this.
I will try this out.

Prosieben is ok now. So I could test if the dect phone had some interferance.
But I had to put the phone on top of the receiver to make it work or lets say bad.
So it is some other interferance because the phone was not in use at the moment I was having the problem in the first place.

In really appreciate the CIFS option! Now that I have mounted an harddisk through CIFS the hdd appears to be missing from the OSD selection box in the timer menu. It is however available through the web interface.

Timer recordings seem unreliable. That is sometimes it wil only not record. This seems to be related to failing intialization of inseterd CI module. I am not sure wether this is related to a specific cam so I will do some more tests with dragon, xcam, magic 1.04 and aston 1.05.

You can record with a good quality with your DM.
I can't record anything of a good quality.
The only way i can record is without any cam or soft-cam running.
Or it has to be a channel with a resolution of 704 by 576.
I think it has to do something with the stream if it is to much/big
the DM can't handle it very well in streaming and decodeing it at the same time.

I used the public beta and did a flash erase after updating. To me the results seem to indicate that any channel that is not using either 720 x 576 or 352 x 576 is problematic. There seems no relation to whether a channel is scrambled or not.
In addition I do not think that the bitrate is an issue as "Das Erste" uses relatively high bitrate and is ok. This imho includes any bitrate related items such as network.
The problem appears to be the (de)muxer in the 5620 that has problems with off-spec MPEG2 resolutions.

<2nd edit after some more testing>
where I put 'no errors' this is true for the 1 minute file that I tested. After that I recorded some more and I do get errors on every channel. Some channels have more errors than others but basicly none of the recordings are good enough for my liking i.e. every recording of 15+ minutes will have errors

Also ich versuche das mit samba schon ein paar Tage .Habe orginal 1.08 auf der 5620 und zombis D*F3.1 auf dem stick mounte mit deinen angaben uhd bekomme immer die meldung Failed. was mach ich falsch!

gint's dazu ein Zeitplan? Ich habe mein 5620s erst vor einige Tage gekauft und wenn der Aufnahme laufen wird bin ich voll zufrieden. Wenn der Aufnahme noch langere Zeit ein Problem bleiben wird werde ich die Box eiligst umtauschen müssen gegen eine Dvb-s Karte.

VCD wathing not smooth

When I watch a VCD via the DB it's not realy smooth it seems like frame's are skipped.
But when I watch a SVCD it's OK. Is this normal or something else??

I've done a test of this firmware and these are the issues I have experienced:

- Most important issue: Using the "official" common-interface module from "Canal Digitaal Nederland" results in MPEG-decoding arctefacts. (As it did with previous firmware). If no idea how a device like this can be sold without working fine with this module as about everyone in .nl uses this thing. Luckily there exist Programmes (none of which cause these issues), otherwise the 5620 would have went already through the window.
- Zapping with the CI installed is unbearably slow.
- Dutch translation of the user-interface contains many spelling errors.
- LAN-streaming using Stream-TS is still crap as before.

Can maybe someone tell me why it is not possible to record anything of a good quality with the DB5620.

recording was no advertised feature of the DM5620 (it was only for the DM7000), so you can´t blame DMM for problems with recording. Nevertheless DMM has reported that the driver will be fixed (but i think not with a high priority).
