i think that the driver of tuner and demodulator is not in the IMG file.
is it right?

It's the head.ko kernel module which is closed source

does the head.ko has two different issue? one uses ALPS tuner ,another uses PHILIPS?
you can try something, take a dm500 which uses philips's tuner,change its tuner with ALPS, the DM500 can't receive single,the AGC show nothing.
so i think there are two different kernel, one is for application,another is for tuner, FLASH driver!
anyone has interest in it , discuss with me!

I changed the head.ko in a 7020 image and it worked for me

The newer head.ko simply has both tuner drivers integrated...
