i can not receive s2 transponder with symbol/rate 40700 with DM8000 (tuner: BCM4501)

hi
i can not receive DVB s2 transponders with symbol/rate 40700 in my dm8000 ( tuners are BCM4501 )
i can not receive DVB-s2 transponders for dishtv package in asiasat5 in 100,5E.
for example:
12642 -- 40700 -- vertical -- 2/3 -- 8PSK

i must add new tuner? i heard in dm800SE must exchange tuner for such as my problem.
but i don't see any suggestion for dm8000.

No DVB-S2 is only till 30Mbit show the DataSheet.

Only the BCM4505 is capable to receive symbolrates up to 45000 with the modulation 8PSK.

The internal tuners BCM4501 (older DM8000) and BCM4506 (newer DM8000) cannot receive symbolrates at this high rate.

Yes the BCM4505 is working in the DM8000.

But you should check if they are really using 8PSK and not 8PSK Turbo which is not supported by any tuner!

Hi,

ich häng mal das aktuelle Datenblatt für den 4505 an.

Das von swissSolaris ist das alte.

Der aktuelle 4505 den wir auch auf den Stecktunern verbauen kann 1-45KSyms bei DVB-S und DVB-S2 sowohl bei QPSK als auch 8PSK.

Der 4501 kann es nicht und wird es auch niemals können. Auch der 4506 in der neueren dm8000 kann es nicht.

one of my friends has DM800se
its tuner is BCM4505
i test with his receiver and with no problem i can receive s2 transponders with 40700 symbol rate 8psk

so BCM4505 is OK for my problem

i must add new tuner BCM4505 to my dm8000

i see 2 catalog for BCM4505

swissSolaris attached a file for BCM4505
and Ghost attached another file for BCM4505

in first DVB-S2 is 5-33 Msps

in second DVB-S2 is 1-45 Msps

which one is true?

Ghost one's is true cause he is the developer/engineer/master

Somehow Broadcom changed the specs, but they made them better not worse

So just add a BCM4505 Tuner to your 8000 and you'll be fine.

there are two versions of BCM4505. the datasheet posted by Ghost is from that one that dmm use.

As OoZooN said: DMM only uses the BCM4505 version that supports 1-45KSyms. So just buy a 800se DVB-S2 Tuner (the one with only one connector, not the 800 one).

Ich habe das mal auf 27,5 W 11495 V 9/10 QSPK 44100 ausprobiert.Die BBC Sender werden gefunden.SNR 58% aber weder Sendername noch die Biss Verschlüsselung werden in der Infobar angezeigt.
Auf der Box ist ein 3.2.1 Experimental mit allen Updates.
