also E2 must have option delete selected service like on E1
and E1 able delete selected sattellite or all folder like E2(on E2 its little buggy, doesnt work for Terrestial)

and select/browse services by transponders for each sat position like {Services; Providers; NewFound; Transponders}
with options rescan current transponder and rescan with clean=on current transponder

BUT the problem is E1 is stoped to developing(Viasat EPG doesnt come),
but moust of E2 developers havent ever seen E1 and dont listenig when users write one or other option were much better in E1

Delete selected service is a waste of time in e2 .
E2 automatically updates the Servicelist when you zap to any transponder (no, this can not be disabled).
There Are Bouquets, you can use bouquets to group your services.... the "All" and "Provider" Servicelists can not and should not be editable by the user.

I think one could make Data and HD Channels easily visible via a simple plugin that changes the according stuff inside enigma2 (this should be a pretty simple and straight forward plugin-appraoch). Possibly I'm completeley wrong and this is done inside the enigma2-core...

Ich behaupte man hat enigma1 damals in einem sehr ausgereiften und stabilen Zustand "hinterlassen".
Microsoft liefert auch schließlich auch keine FeatureUpdates mehr für Windows 2000.... Apple nicht für Mac OS 9...

Wieviele Updates hat DMM für enigma über die Jahre gebracht?

Im Hinblick auf die Konkurrenz mag man DMM viele Dinge vorwerfen (oder auch nicht) aber sicht nicht mangelnde Wartung der Software... Ganz im Gegenteil, ich denk was Softwareupdates angeht ist DMM im gesamten Markt mit abstand alleiniger Spitzenreiter. Selbst wenn es von Release zu Release auch eine gewisse Zeit dauert/dauern kann, ist die Qualität (Fehlerbereinungen und neue Features) und Quantität(Bei einsatz eines experimentellen Images praktisch täglich) an Updates bei sonst keinem Anbieter in diesem Maße gegeben.

Dass engima (1) das Ende seines Lebenszyklus mittlerweile erreicht hat ist nunmal der "natürliche" Lauf der Dinge.
Im übrigen kann ich die entscheidung von DMM sowohl vor Allem aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht total nachvollziehen...

Welche Feature-Updates?
XP bekommt afaik nur noch Sicherheitsupdates, das noch bis 2014.... allerdings hinkt der Vergleich mit windows zugegebener Maßen etwas, da enigma2 ein kompletter neuanfang war... (der Vergleich mit OS X trifft hier mehr zu).
