dm800 will not flash is it faulty

Hi all, I recently bought a genuine dm800. I verified it on this site and all seems to indicate its not a clone. Ive tried to flash it several times with images downloaded from a site but on each one the box freezes and I get a green screen most times that says it needs to restart and it has component enigma 2 signal on the next line. The only image that ive managed to get through to the main menu is [Moderator] Image is in violation of the Boardrules [/Moderator] but when I scan a satellite he green screen comes up again and the box restarts. Am i doing something wrong or is the box faulty.

we only support original DMM images here. For problems with 3rd-party images .. contact the guys who made this image

like I said in my post ive tried all different images including the ones from here and i was just pointing out that was the only image that got me through to the main menu. I was under the assumption that this website was for genuine dreambox's so if you cant help you shouldnt bother making comments. I just want to find out if the box is faulty and needs to be returned.

then flash a original DMM image and post a crashlog here. Crashlogs always get created on your /hdd or in your /tmp folder when you see a greenscreen.

This crashlog helps us to see why it's crashing.

But I guess there is something broken in your box. Normally it should work fine with all those images without any freezes or greenscreens. A crashlog might help us to know why your box is crashing with a green screen
