DLNA mediaserver functionality on the Dreambox/enigma2 ?.

ok thanks, now I am completly lost. :-) would you have a tutorial for me :-) I am real real real real new. LOLLL I have image 07.21.2010 and kernel: linux 2.6.18-7.3-dm800 . I am not sure how up to date I am. to be honest I just received this box, and I am trying to get me sorted out. I previously had a reelbox. so kind of lost. thanks for all your help. maybe a little tutorial on how to get the WHOLE box up to date. second stage, image, everything. thanks big time. :-)

after that you'll have to install 2 more plugins via telnet, but that's it!

I have Dreambox Second Stage Loader BUILD #76, built 20100419, do I have to pass it to 84 before flashing http://www.dreamboxupdate.com/opendreamb…00-20120809.nfi ? or does this image already have the bootloader and will install it at the same time?

one last question then I will stop bothering you ;-) I saw that some images you have to install them differently because they are too big or I dont know what, for this one I can just install with no special trick like adding flash or I dont remenber all I saw? on my dm800?

:-D REALLY????? :-D so the only thing I have to do is install the image and I will go from bootloader 76 to 84? and I will have the new image and everything. :-D THANK YOU VERRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to do it now and give you news when I have the new image and the upnp render up and running. thanks for your patience and help

This is just AMAZING, the new oe2 is great image. and the Upnp Render is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Great work everyone!!! AND THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!! I am now going to use xbmc to watch tv change channels and so on, on my Dm800 and play my movies. :-D

change in
UPnPMediaRenderer.py

You can switch to a tv channel wihtout reception (like an encrypted channel where you dont have the key) before starting dlna playback..

Any plans to provide Live-TV functionality with DLNA server

Hi Reichi,

great to see there is much progress on the DLNA side.

Are there any plans you know of to provide Live-TV server integration to be able to stream Live-TV to the DLNA renderers of TVs like Samsung, LG and Sony?

I believe there was a way on OE 1.6 to do this with mediatomb, but mediatomb development has stalled, as you probably are aware of and there seem to be many issues with rendering to the different TVs, especially the newer ones. Providing a Live-TV stream and a way to switch channels (and maybe even EPG data) via DLNA would be a killer feature if you ask me.
