In lib/dvb/teletext.cpp

} else if (!m_subtitle_text.empty() && m_subtitle_text[m_subtitle_text.size()-1] != ' ')
m_subtitle_text += " ";

This adds a space instead of a linebreak before next teletext line.
Ofcourse it should add a linebreak there and not a space.
This is priority numer one to fix.
Next thing is to fix automatic selection of language with configuration like openpli already has.
Or atleast select same language as GUI language.

Too bad it took four years to fix this.
But suddenly, it happens, very well done. :thumbsup:
I am very happy for this.

I do not think it was difficult to fix, it was all misunderstanding
you did not know how it should look like.

Now we start step 2:
We should be able to choose language and subtitles in the system menu
we do not want to push audio / yellow for each channel.

Many Thanks

Hope that the linebreaks will work in the future.

It would also be great if it was possible to choose if we want to have a background of the subtitle also.
I would like to have a black semi transparent background. It is very hard to read the white subtilte specially when the picture have a light background.

Linebreaks already works in latest Enigma2.
Background in subtitles sucks in my opinion so should be an option then.

The new teletext subtitles have a big black shadow, isn't that enough? ;)

Noope, it isn't.
The black shadow only make it easier sometimes. But when the picture is very bright and light it's very hard and sometimes impossible to read the subtitle so a background of the subtitle is nessesary.

No problem here to read in bright background as long there is black shadow.
You can modify the skin for more shadow if you want.

<sub name="Subtitle_TTX" font="Regular;40" backgroundColor="#50000000" foregroundColor="#ffffff" shadowColor="#40101010" shadowOffset="3,3" />

But ofcourse it would be nice with options for transparent / background, font size, move subtitles up/down, autolanguage etc.
But working subtitles is a big step in right direction :).

Have already that line, but that is not enough good for me and many others. It's still hard to read the subtitle when we got a light picture.

For me and many others is a black semi transparent backgound of the subtitle equal or even more important as the linebrakes.

The best of corse would be if we could get a menu were we could configure the subtitle look ourselves. Like: subtitle on/off , subtitle language, background on/off, subtitle colour, subtitle font, subtitle font size, background transparent on/off, background colour, move subtitle upp/down left/right

Yes but it's not enough with that line you need to change that line that's what i ment but for me that's readable enough.
Also changing to another font could make it more readable.
