network issue

Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

i have just brought a dreambox 500s. tested at dealer and wokring fine. the problem goes here. when i connect the eathernet cable to dreambox it doens't get connected to net. the same cable when i connect to my pc it gets connected to net. please someone tell me is anything i am missing....
