Hi,
ich hoffe ich bin nicht der Einzige der seine Images und Tests mit einem virtuellen Linux erstellt. Gestern kam die neue C´t und dort stand drin das coLinux schneller als z.B. VM-Ware sein soll. Ich mußte es natürlich gleich testen.

Test: make dreamboximage_root für eine 7000 nach einem distclean

VM-Ware Player 2.01 mit Suse 10.2 132 Sekunden
coLinux mit Ubuntu 97 Sekunden

Wenn mich meine Erinnerung an meinem letzten Test (VM-Ware gegen nativ Linux) nicht täuscht dürfte coLinux damit praktisch mit 100% Geschwindigkeit laufen. Noch ein Vorteil das Teil starten fast als wenn es Notepad wäre.

In C´t wurde andLinux (www.andLinux.org) erwähnt und das ist das erwähnte Ubuntu. Ein paar apt-gets und schon kann man compilieren.

Ich bin ziemlich beeindruckt.

Vielleicht interessiert es ja jemanden.

Interessant ist das ganze schon, aber gibts dafür auch div. HT um das ans laufen zu bekommen. Mich interessiert vorallem alles für Enigma2 und die dm800

Denn vielleicht kann ich dann endlich mal ein bisserl in die Materie rein schnuppern

schau mal in Boxmans Board da gibt es HowTos um eigene Images aus dem CSV oder OE zu erstellen. Enigma 2 ist OE.

also ich hab hier 2 coLinux Partitionen mit allen OEs für alle Boxen die da drin sind (dm500plus, 600, 800, 7020, 7025) - wobei man aktuell wegen eines mir bisher unerklärelichen bugs keine Images erstellen kann :/.

CoLinux hat nur ein Problem... fehlende MultiCore unterstützung wodurch es zumindest auf meinem Core2 im Vergleich zu einer VM wohl nicht mehr schneller ist (da die VM problemlos beide Cores benutzen kann)...
Ansonsten läuft das wirklich super und bootet wie bereits erwähnt sehr sehr flott.

Hi,

dank dir für den Hinweis, dort steht wirklich um einiges mehr drinnen. Der Knackpunkt war allerdings die Monotone Version downzugraden auf 31. Die dafür benötigen Libs bekommt man zb bei Debian hier: http://debian.mirror.inra.fr/debian/pool/main/b/boost/ und die Monotone Version gibts hier: http://debian.mirror.inra.fr/debian/pool/main/m/monotone/

Hi Operator,
war es nicht so das es nötig sein kann auf mtn 0.31 gehen zu müssen es aber kein Zwang war? Ich bin mir nicht sicher aber mein letzter Test lief mit 0.35 ohne Probleme.

Hi,

das dürfte wohl stimmen, nur muss man die Datenbank imigrieren und dann den cache neu aufbauen. Ich hab das gestern Nacht gestartet und heute früh abgebrochen. Somit hab ich die alte 0.31 installiert und es ging alles an anhieb

Es wird auch berichtet, dass man dieses spiel immer wieder wiederholen darf, wenn sich in der oe.mtn etwas ändert. Somit ist die alte Version wohl besser, da man sich diese Schritte ersparen kann.

Das stimmt nicht.

Wenn du die oe.mtn einmal migriert hast, musst du das beri Änderungen nicht mehr wiederholen.

Wenn man die oe.mtn migriert hat, sollte man die natürlich tunlichst *nicht* mehr via rsync holen und damit dann überschreiben. Man muss die dann mit oe update aktualisieren lassen.

Coole Sache mit dem "andLinux" Läuft soweit gut.

Nur wie kann ich im Nachhinein die Angaben während der Installation für der Shared Ordner der über Samba zu Windows hergestellt wird ändern ?

Ich hab vor einiger Zeit eine auf Debian basienrende Distribution für den VMWare Player gemacht

diese ist getestet und funktioniert für

Tuxbox CVS (DBox2)
Dreambox CVS / 500/5620/700 )
Dreambox OE
Fritzbox Freetz / Dsmod

passende HowTos gibt es in den genannten Boards!(registrierung nötig) für oben genannte Anwendungenszwecke

Hi,
I tried it yesterday and it worked with slightly and stinky. Is your capslock key releases? Perhaps you might try slightlz and stinkz perhaps there is a layout problem.
